Some funny killers stuff

lol

Brandon Flowers first wore make-up at the age of 15 - at a Cure concert. “I was manhandled by this girl, she threw me in the bathroom and put eyeliner on me and I liked it, I liked the belonging,” recalls the vocalist.

"I got soul, but I'm not a soldier"
The line has attracted mockery from comedian Bill Bailey, who points out that it doesn't make much sense: "You might as well sing, 'I've got ham but I'm not a hamster'.

"Are we human, or are we dancer?"
This quote came from Hunter S Thompson, who once voiced a fear that America was "raising a generation of dancers".

The woman on the front cover of 'Sam's Town' is in fact singer-songwriter Felica LaZae, who is also from Las Vegas. The album photo was shot by Anton Corbijn, the photographer responsible for the iconic imagery of U2's 'The Joshua Tree'.

“He had weird shoes," recalls the guitarist. "He had the same shoes Oasis had - Clarks!"
OASIS!!!

'Uncle Jonny', a track on 'Sam's Town', is about Brandon’s uncle, a cocaine addict. Harbouring a paranoid obsession with George Orwell's '1984', and convinced that aliens were coming to steal his semen, 'Jonny' attempted to shoot his testicles off. Fortunately, he missed and merely shot himself in the groin. He's alright now though.

Brandon Flowers was fat until the age of 15, and even today has to be careful what he eats. "I still love food," he explains. "I have an addictive personality. You grow up looking at Iggy Pop and Morrissey, so I guess it gives me a complex. It’s just hard for me — I have to stop myself."

Before settling on The Killers, the band thought about calling themselves The Genius Sex Poets. Eagle-eyed fans will have noticed that this name is scrawled on the drum kit in the American video for 'Mr Brightside'.

The only celebrity name that Brandon claims to have in his phonebook, obviously apart from the other Killers, is Alex Kapranos from Franz Ferdinand.

Killers guitarist David Keuning used to go by the stage name “Tavian Go”. He gave it up when he realised it sounded a bit silly.
